This is when the idea of Bag spray got conceptualised.

Like we are aware plastic shopping bags have become a threat to the life of animals living on earth as well in water. Chemicals released by waste plastic bags enter the soil and make it infertile. Solution to this problem is simple, using reusable shopping bags but with it comes another set of problems. Reusable shopping bags are covered in bacteria. According to a university study, over 10 percent of reusable shopping bags contain E. Coli, a faecal bacterium that can make us sick. If reusable bags are not sanitized properly after each use, they can harbour dangerous viruses. At bag spray we have realised this problem and there is a growing market need to develop a sanitization unit that can be placed at entrance of supermarkets so the shoppers can disinfect their reusable bags before using them.

Our Product and Service
Our automated bag disinfection machine cleans the consumer’s shopping bags in under 30 seconds. We have a spray disinfectant system that cleans the inside and outside of the shopping bag. Our system eliminates the need to wash bags by hand after each use. Our spray machine works for both cloth and polypropylene bags. The spray unit uses dozens of spray nozzles that use an electrode to introduce an attractive charge and atomizes the
disinfectant solution. Solution particles coat the bag surface and kill bacteria and viruses. Solution particles coat the bag surface and kill bacteria and viruses resulting in a 99.7% disinfection rate.

Our Target markets
Target market is the supermarket chains across Canada and the world. We expect that our disinfectant spray unit will soon become an industry standard, growing in popular demand similar as the explosive prevalence of disinfectant gel dispensers currently found in every entrance to supermarkets. We expect supermarkets will be willing to pay for these machines because they reduce the risks associated with having staff pack purchases in reusable bags.
Business Model
Our business model works on a purchase and maintenance fleet basis. We are seeking large contracts for hundreds of devices in a single transaction. Loblaws has 2000+ stores across Canada and we want to be in all of their stores within 4 years.
Future Costumers –
Our clientele would be major supermarket conglomerates worldwide Like Target, Traders Joes, CVS etc. We believe that once we present our technology and show retail safety managers what our units can do, this could become an industry standard and be implemented in hundreds of thousands of supermarkets worldwide.
